Speech of the president of the university

I am pleased to see AUT’s Office of Sustainability lunched in 2011 to increase environmental consciousness and practices for student, staff and faculty; reduce AUT’s waste generation, promote safety of laboratory; and lower our environmental impact by re-examining our consumption habits; and promote the use of green products. Each of us has a responsibility to reduce the university’s impact on the environment and I encourage all student, staff and faculty to contribute in the Office of Sustainability’s program by incorporating responsible sustainability practices into workplace and personal lives. I invite all members of our campus community to pursue more sustainable methods for improving the life style and workplace operational efficiency. It is our deepest commitment to ensure that the Amirkabir University of technology is socially, economically, and environmentally conscious in all its actions and I am sure AUT will promote its pioneer in sustainable development by cooperation of all students, faculties and staffs.
