HSE (Health Safety and Environment)

Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) is pioneer in sustainability in IRAN universities. Safety as one aspects of sustainability is attractive. The HSE Group of Sustainability Office was formed in 2013 (with new structure) to bring together a number of specialists in the fields of health, safety and environmental management. S.E. Nazlabadi coordinate this group. In this role, he is responsible for improve Amirkabir University’s position as a safe university in Iran. Combining this mix of skills, experience and expertise under one roof enables the group to provide not only the widest range of services but to offer them in a cost effective and integrated manner.

AUT-HSE committee is composed including of some university officials and coordinator of HSE group. We are in this group responsible for to secure the Civil and Environmental Department and Environmental Engineering Laboratory in AUT as pilot in first phase. We also are responsible for holding different safety workshop in AUT.

Dr.James Kaufman (President/CEO, The Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI) - A Nonprofit International Organization for Safety in Science and Science Education, Massachusetts) and Mr.Siavash Isazadeh (MC-Gill University) are honorary members of our group and help us.
