West Asia is a strategic, elliptically-shaped area that includes eighteen Asian countries, and contains a considerable portion of the world’s oil and gas reserves. Relying on these vast reserves, the countries of the region produce a large part of the oil and gas consumed by developed and developing countries across the globe.
